Slovenia shares its experience and solutions in countering UAVs with Ukraine

At a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Slovenian delegation presented its proposals and solutions for countering UAVs, including ground-based platforms and counter-drone modules.

During the talks, Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, and Boštjan Pavlin, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence of Slovenia, focused in particular on Ukraine’s needs and the latest developments in counter-UAV technologies.

At the outset, Sergiy Boyev expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its involvement in the PURL initiative, which is critically important for the supply of essential weapons and ammunition. He also thanked the Slovenian people for the support provided, including both military and humanitarian assistance.

For his part, Boštjan Pavlin informed the Ukrainian side of preparations for a new aid package to be delivered to Ukraine at a later stage.

“Air and missile defence systems, the missiles for them, and counter-drone capabilities are what save Ukrainian lives. We are ready to cooperate and share experience to develop joint defence mechanisms,” the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine said.

Sergiy Boyev also outlined Ukraine’s needs for 2026 and noted that Ukraine is ready for a mutually beneficial partnership and the exchange of experience.
