Since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian Defence Forces's fleet of vehicles has been replenished with 175 fresh additions

In the first nine months of 2024, the Ministry of Defence codified and adopted over 175 vehicle models for use in the Defence Forces, with over 76 being made domestically.

“We are referring not only to tactical combat vehicles or pickup trucks but to quite a wide range of automotive assets that are extremely necessary for the Defence Forces,” said Colonel Volodymyr Rochniak, Head of the Main Department of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

According to him, the codified automotive assets include modern electric and gasoline motorcycles, quads, hexacycles (six-wheeled ATVs), all-terrain buggies, unique all-terrain amphibious vehicles, pickups, tactical combat vehicles, tanker trucks, mobile cranes, mobile car repair workshop, backhoe loaders, technical assistance vehicles, semi-trailer trucks, wreckers, mobile bath-laundry units, trailers and semi-trailers, etc.

More than half of the 175 new vehicle models were codified during the third quarter.
