Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved more than ten domestic robotic systems for use by the army

Minimizing direct contact with the enemy and protecting the lives of soldiers is the task of modern high-tech tools of warfare. The first in this line were UAVs, which are now widely used by our soldiers in a variety of combat missions: from destroying important enemy objects, equipment and personnel to conducting aerial reconnaissance and directing the fire of our artillery. The introduction of mobile ground-based and stationary robotic platforms, controlled by both operators and artificial intelligence, is the next stage in strengthening the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and approved for use more than 10 domestic developed ground robotic systems. Robotics is one of the most promising areas for strengthening the Ukrainian Army. A number of domestic manufacturers are working to develop new models and types of robotic systems to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The purpose of ground-based robot platforms is different: to carry weapons, to help our soldiers fire from cover without being in danger. In addition, ground robots can evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, provide logistical support by delivering ammunition and other supplies to combat positions under enemy fire, and carry out the installation of mine barriers. Or vice versa, they can clear an area of mines at the command of an engineer operator.

Some Ukrainian-made robotic systems have already been tested in combat conditions and rated by the end user - Ukrainian defenders. Designers and manufacturers have taken into account the comments and suggestions of our military personnel, so ground-based robot platforms have many "surprises" for the enemy.

As a reminder, the codification and subsequent approval of a sample of weapons and military equipment of domestic production for use with a NATO nomenclature number allows them to be purchased from the state budget for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
