Sergiy Boyev: Ukraine is keen on partnering with Germany for the production of air defense systems and ammunition

Ukraine is interested in broadening cooperation with Germany in the defense industry. Promising joint projects could include areas such as ammunition production, air and missile defense systems, armored vehicle repair, and more.

Deputy Minister of Defence for European Integration, Sergiy Boyev, made this statement during a meeting with the newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Ukraine.

Tim Prange, whose diplomatic tenure in Ukraine is nearing its conclusion, presented his successor, Max Rasch, the newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Ukraine.

The meeting focused on future cooperation, during which Sergiy Boyev acknowledged and thanked Tim Prange for his unwavering dedication throughout his diplomatic mission.

“Germany is one of our key partners, and maintaining close cooperation is of paramount importance to us. We will focus on new projects, particularly in the defense industry,” emphasized Sergiy Boyev.

The Deputy Minister of Defence highlighted that it is especially important for Ukraine to receive support that would be tangible on the battlefield He mentioned that Ukraine is also interested in continuing the work of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format).

On their part, the German side familiarized the audience with the nuances of the German budget for security and defense spending and outlined the prospects for future cooperation, given the change in the parliamentary team.
