Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev held talks with Levin Holle, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor to the German Federal Chancellor, who arrived on a visit to Kyiv.

First of all, Sergiy Boyev thanked the German representative for his country’s political support and for the financial and military assistance Germany has extended to Ukraine. The Deputy Minister expressed special gratitude for the decision announced during the Ramstein-format meeting to provide Patriot systems.

“We see that russia continues to pursue its plans to occupy Ukraine and terrorise the civilian population, which is why Germany’s support is important to us. I am confident that our partnership will further develop,” noted Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev.

Another item on the agenda was cooperation between the defence industries of Germany and Ukraine. Sergiy Boyev reported that Ukraine’s defence industry needs an additional $6 billion in funding by the end of 2025 to expand the production of FPV drones, interceptor drones, and long-range systems.

“The longer the war continues, the more innovative challenges we encounter. The technologies that Ukraine is developing will be of significant value for the rearmament of European armies,” underlined Sergiy Boyev.
