Sergiy Boyev discusses the establishment of joint defence ventures with the National Armaments Director at the Dutch Ministry of Defence

The Ukrainian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev, and the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Netherlands outlined further steps to establish joint production facilities.
Jan Willem Hartman, National Armaments Director at the Dutch Ministry of Defence, expressed interest in combining Ukrainian experience and technologies with Dutch production capabilities. The partners expressed interest in joint drone production within the ‘Build with Ukraine’ initiative.
“Production under the ‘Build with Ukraine’ initiative should contribute to the development of the defence industry and to building up weapon stockpiles. Europe must be ready to face challenges and prepare together with Ukraine,” emphasised Sergiy Boyev.
He also expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for contributing to the budget of the PURL initiative, which funds the procurement of U.S.-made weapons. The Deputy Minister emphasised the need to engage more partners in this mechanism.
The parties agreed on the next steps to establish joint production facilities and to implement further expedited deliveries of manufactured weapons.
