Sergiy Boyev discusses defence industry cooperation with French delegation

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, held a meeting with Colonel Frédéric Bal, the Armaments Attaché of France, and Thomas Moreau, the GICAT (Land and Air-Land Defence and Security Industries Association) Representative in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of joint defence industry projects.

“The development of interceptor solutions for Ukraine is a priority. We continue to expand cooperation with our partners to provide our warriors with effective air defence systems,” emphasised Sergiy Boyev.

The parties also discussed opportunities for financing joint projects, in particular through European funding mechanisms.

The discussion also covered cooperation between Ukrainian and French defence industry enterprises, including the production of air defence and missile defence systems and associated missiles; equipment repair; testing of innovative solutions; supply of components; and the development of new weapon systems that take into account experience from modern warfare.

The French side reaffirmed its readiness to implement new joint production projects in Ukraine.

Sergiy Boyev expressed gratitude to France for its steady support and partnership, which help reinforce Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
