Sergiy Boyev briefed the American Foreign Policy Council delegation on the security situation in Ukraine

Сергій Боєв ознайомив делегацію Ради зовнішньої політики США з безпековою ситуацією в Україні

First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev, together with a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the MoD, held a briefing for the American Foreign Policy Council delegation on the security situation in Ukraine and urgent needs.

The American delegation, led by Herman Pirchner, President of the American Foreign Policy Council, arrived in Kyiv to gain a deeper understanding of the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and the available intelligence regarding the development of russia’s military-industrial complex and its cooperation with other totalitarian regimes.

“We continue to fight to achieve sustainable peace and protect independence. russia does not abandon the idea of a weak, controlled Ukraine, which is why it rejected any ceasefire proposals,” emphasized Sergiy Boyev.

The First Deputy Minister drew attention to the fact that the enemy is able to increase funding for aggression through oil and gas sales. He stressed that new, tougher sanctions could force russia to make concessions.

“russia earns billions from energy sales and converts them into killings and destruction. Sanctions can weaken the aggressor’s position and undermine its capacity to continue waging war,” underlined Sergiy Boyev.

The Ukrainian side also expressed readiness to cooperate with U.S. defence companies.

“Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. leadership and the American people for all the assistance provided and their efforts to achieve peace. The United States remains our strategic partner, and we continue cooperating in all areas in the fight for freedom and independence,” said the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
