Sappers of the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine have cleared over 220,000 hectares of territory since the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion

Since the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, sappers of the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine have surveyed and cleared 222,970.68 hectares of territory of explosive hazards, including 2,399 hectares in November 2025.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, sappers have surveyed:

  • 1,230.85 km of roads
  • 82.65 ha of water areas
  • 3,010.60 km of railway lines
  • 602.10 km of power lines
  • 101.12 km of gas pipelines
  • 398.30 ha of residential areas
  • 1,152.10 ha of forested areas

During this period, 258,409 explosive hazards were detected, removed, and neutralized. Of these, 3,947 were neutralized in November, including 2,460 in Kherson oblast — the highest monthly figure.

The State Special Transport Service emphasizes that the removal and neutralization of explosive hazards must be carried out exclusively by trained professionals. If you discover a suspicious object, please call 101, 102, or 112, and do not approach or handle it.
