Rustem Umerov: The use of long-range weapons against targets on enemy territory will protect us from russian terror

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held a meeting with a delegation of the United States House of Representatives members, which included Robert Wittman  (Republican Party) and David Trone (Democratic Party).

On behalf of the Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Minister thanked the United States for their comprehensive bipartisan support.

"Together with the team, we briefed the American delegation on the current situation on the frontlines. Our objectives are to clear the borderlands from the threat of russian strikes and to diminish the possibility of enemy shelling and attacks on our towns and villages," Rustem Umerov said.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian side went on to detail the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Defence Minister emphasized the need to quickly obtain permission from the allies for the use of long-range weapons on targets inside russia. This is a crucial matter of protecting our peaceful towns and villages from russian terror.

The parties also discussed preparations for the next UDCG meeting (meeting of the Ramstein group). The parties emphasized the importance of the most effective implementation of its results to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
