Міноборони впровадило сучасний облік зброї за стандартами НАТО

Ukraine's Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov, met with allied countries' military attachés to discuss international military assistance.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, members of the Temporary Investigative Commission on Monitoring the Receiving and Use of International Material and Technical Aid, as well as Oleksandr Zavitnevych, Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada.

During the meeting, the Minister of Defence underscored the importance of maximizing the effective use of weapons and equipment on the battlefield. He also highlighted the Ministry of Defense's significant progress in reforming the weapon supply system to align with NATO standards.

“Prior to the onset of full-scale russian aggression, weapons inventory was maintained exclusively in a paper-based format. The great war underscored the need for a fundamental revision of such approaches. This year, the Ministry of Defence has significantly progressed in reforming the system for supplying weapons and equipment in line with NATO standards, Rustem Umerov said.

One of the key achievements was the implementation of the SAP system, which modernizes the Armed Force's accounting and logistics by transitioning them to a digital format. This facilitates analysis and oversight across all levels.

The system currently encompasses 3,000 users across tactical, operational, and strategic levels. Approximately 300,000 items have already been cataloged in the database, and key metrics can be monitored in real-time, ranging from the number of weapons to their condition and distribution.

The SAP system was scaled up by transferring the pertinent license from Germany. “Transparency, accuracy, and accountability are the principles that the Ministry of Defence steadfastly upholds in its cooperation with our allies,” emphasized the minister.

Rustem Umerov also announced that such meetings with military attachés would be held regularly. The next event will focus on the outcomes of international military assistance in previous years and planning support for 2025.
