Rustem Umerov: New defense projects between Ukraine and Czechia will strengthen our warriors at the front

Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, held discussions with a delegation from the Intergovernmental Defence Cooperation Agency (AMOS) of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, accompanied by leading Czech defense companies. 

“We are strengthening defense cooperation with Czechia. We discussed concrete measures to expedite the support aid delivery from Czechia and enhance our cooperation,” said the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

The Minister of Defence acknowledged the substantial contribution the Czech government and defense companies made toward enhancing Ukraine's security. 

During the meeting, the parties focused on key areas where Ukraine has already gained productive experience in cooperation with AMOS, namely:

• Manufacturing and delivery of large-caliber ammunition
• Exchange of defense technologies
• Advancement of industrial cooperation between Ukraine and Czechia

“We are launching new joint projects that will strengthen our warriors on the front lines. One of the initiatives is the production of rifles under the ‘Danish model’ of financing. Some of these weapons are currently being produced in the Czechia, and for the other, discussions are ongoing regarding localization of production in Ukraine,” emphasized Rustem Umerov.
