Rustem Umerov met with the UK Secretary of Defence
Before the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format), Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov spoke with his British counterpart, John Healey, who chaired the allies' meeting for the first time.
The parties discussed the meeting agenda, key expectations, and priorities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Rustem Umerov thanked John Healy for his leadership and the new commitments the United Kingdom is making to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
“The United Kingdom is our strategic ally, as reaffirmed by the One Hundred Year Partnership Agreement between our countries. Together, we are working on the shared security of Ukraine, Europe, and the entire world,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine stated that the ‘Ramstein’ meeting is expected to bring new decisions that will strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
