The discussions focused on joint efforts with international partners to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Marcos Perestrello reaffirmed the importance of continued military support to Ukraine, both to meet urgent frontline needs and to strengthen long-term defense capabilities.

The delegation was briefed on the current security situation. The representative from intelligence briefed the participants on the main challenges, while First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, presented an assessment of the enemy’s plans. The talks addressed Ukraine’s defense strategy and identified areas needing further reinforcement. Ukraine’s key priorities remain unchanged, including holding and stabilizing the front line, strengthening the protection of Ukrainian airspace, and neutralizing the enemy’s offensive capabilities.

Particular attention was devoted to investment in Ukraine’s defense industry. The Minister of Defence of Ukraine emphasized that investing in Ukrainian production capabilities contributes to the security of all of Europe.

“I am sincerely grateful to NATO countries for their support, which strengthens our defenders every day and brings victory closer,” Rustem Umerov said.
