Rustem Umerov: Lithuania has committed to financing the production of long-range weapons for Ukraine
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine participated in the Lithuanian-Ukrainian Defense Industry Business Forum in Kyiv.
He emphasized Lithuania's crucial role in enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities in his speech.
“Lithuania is providing 10 million euros to finance our long-range capabilities, including the Palanytsia rocket-drone. This substantial assistance will greatly enhance Ukraine's ability to defend itself,” Rustem Umerov stated.
He also thanked Lithuania for its leadership in significant areas like the Demining Coalition, training initiatives for the Ukrainian military, cyber defense reinforcement, and IT technology development.
Lithuania has already helped Ukraine with 2% of its own GDP and aims to continue this support at the level of 0.25% of the country's GDP annually.
