Rustem Umerov: Denmark, France, and Lithuania have allocated over EUR 150 million towards the development of Ukraine's defense industry
Ukraine has received over EUR 150 million (UAH 6.5 billion) in funding for its defense industry from Denmark, France, and Lithuania.
In this regard, EUR 111 million was allocated to implement agreements within the cooperation framework between the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and the Danish Ministry of Defence to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the latest domestically produced munitions.
EUR 29 million – a grant from the French government to enhance Ukraine’s security and defense.
EUR 10 million has been allocated to develop the Ukrainian defense industry, in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
“These funds will primarily be allocated to the production of missiles, deep-strike drones, and artillery systems,” stated Ukraine’s Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. He also thanked the partners for their crucial support and contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
