Rustem Umerov and Kaja Kallas summarized the outcomes of the Coalition of the Willing and the ‘Ramstein’ meetings

During a visit to Brussels, Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. 

During the talks, the parties summarized the results of the Coalition of the Willing and the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (‘Ramstein’ format) meetings. The participants agreed that both formats demonstrate effectiveness and are key platforms for coordinating international support for Ukraine.

An important topic discussed was the financing of joint defense projects. Rustem Umerov confirmed that Ukraine is preparing proposals to establish joint production initiatives with EU countries, focusing on research and development (R&D) projects in the defense sector.

“russia continues its daily terror — attacks on civilian infrastructure and the killing of innocent civilians. Ms. Kallas fully understands that peace must be just, lasting, and secure. That is why the European Union's role is crucial in achieving this outcome,” emphasized Rustem Umerov.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine thanked Ms. Kallas for the practical, results-driven dialogue and her strong stance in support of Ukraine.
