Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army, the 33-th in Ukraine, was opened in Chernivtsi

The new Ukrainian Army Recruitment Center was inaugurated today in Chernivtsi, located at 7 Heroiv Maidanu St, marking the country's 33rd center of its kind.

From Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., individuals have the opportunity to seek consultation, get information about units, positions, and conditions of service, and potentially submit an application.

Specially educated non-military recruiters are also on hand for advice. They can be reached by phone at +38 (096) 435 8925 and +38 (066) 386 3014 or by e-mail: [email protected].

“This project holds significant importance.  It will enable each citizen to prove themselves in the defense of our country based on their abilities,” said Ruslan Zaparaniuk, head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.

Both men and women between 18 and 60 are eligible for recruitment. In the Center, you can choose a position (according to your civilian experience), a military branch, and a unit. In total, the recruitment centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have over 10,000 open positions in various branches like the Ground Forces, the Air Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defence Intelligence, etc.

“We expect that every citizen will be able to find their place in the Ukrainian Armed Forces if they wish. Hence, we encourage city residents and visitors to get in touch with the Recruitment Center,” said Roman Klichuk, Mayor of Chernivtsi.

Basic general military training is provided to recruits after they join the Armed Forces, with the option of specialized training if required. In addition, joint projects are being implemented in collaboration with Victory Drones and Drone Force to select and recruit UAV operators.

“We aim to guarantee that every recruit gets to the chosen unit for their position. In recent months, a noticeable increase in volunteer participation has been observed. This serves as evidence that the initiative is on the right track and proves the feasibility of already 33 centers in Ukraine,” emphasized Oleksiy Bezhevets, recruitment officer for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

He also noted that the Ministry of Defence is having conversations with local government officials to expand the network of recruitment centers throughout Ukraine.
