Record competition for food supplies to the AFU: The MoD’s acquisition agency, DOT, receives 207 bids.

Last week, auctions for the procurement of foodstuffs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second half of 2025 were held on the Prozorro platform. The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defence, received 207 bids from market participants, setting a record for such procurements.

• The total expected value exceeds UAH 22.5 billion
• Number of lots: 16
• On average, there were at least 10 bids per lot.

The most competitive lot was in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, attracting 17 bids with an expected value of over UAH 527 million.

New market entrants also joined the bidding process, with seven companies submitting proposals for the first time.

“For the first time, we have received such a high number of bids. This indicates that the market is responding positively to the transparent conditions we have established. “Our goal is to attract new suppliers and establish fair rules of the game in the state procurement market,” commented Halyna Litosh, Director of the Food Program at DOT.

The winners are currently undergoing verification to ensure compliance with qualification requirements. The companies selected to provide food supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the second half of 2025 will be announced soon.
