New Year’s greeting from Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Denys Shmyhal

I extend my sincere New Year’s greetings! 

At the turn of the New Year, we feel a special pride in every person through whose efforts Ukraine repels the enemy, and in all who contribute to the future of our state. We bow in gratitude to the Ukrainian military and to all our defenders, whose service allows us to speak of plans for the year ahead. 

We will continue to build a modern army and advance domestic weapons production. We will multiply this year’s achievements to ensure a strong military and a secure future for Ukraine. 

I wish all Ukrainians and our warriors well-being and happiness. May the year ahead bring a long-awaited, just, and lasting peace.
