Nataliia Kalmykova: The Defense Forces' medical services and civilian healthcare facilities should function cohesively within a unified framework
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine made this statement at the meeting of the Coordination Center for the Arranging Medical Services of the Security Forces, Defense Forces, and Healthcare Organizations and Facilities.
According to her, there should be a comprehensive collaboration across the entire Defense Forces to consolidate medical supply needs.
“A comprehensive strategy is necessary when addressing the matter of medical provisions. We are developing an integral strategy among the medical services of the Security Forces, Defense Forces, and Healthcare Organizations and Facilities in assessing what we need from partner countries. However, our primary focus is on establishing a unified healthcare environment,” Nataliia Kalmykova emphasized.
The meeting of the Coordination Center was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the military branches and types of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and other Defense Forces. As a result of the meeting, the composition of the Government's advisory body will be authorized upon endorsement by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine and the Minister of Health of Ukraine
