New Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army was established in Chernihiv, marking the city's first such facility

The inauguration of the first recruiting center of the Ukrainian Army in Chernihiv (the 30th in Ukraine) took place on the premises of the local Administrative Services Center at 20a Levko Lukyanenko Avenue.

“Our primary goal today is to defeat, as soon as possible, our enemy and bring an end to the ongoing cruel war initiated by the enemy. Such initiatives are very important, and I thank the Ministry of Defence for its implementation," said Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.

The center is run by civilian professionals who have completed various levels of training. They do not do any recruiting but only help people select a position and a military unit in the Armed Forces.

Full support of a person going to join the Armed Forces is among the tasks of the center's specialists. They assist with documents, contact the proper authorities, and resolve possible misunderstandings. Consultations are also available by phone at the number +380 66 005 72 36.

There are more than 10,000 vacancies at the center, including positions for drivers, medics, riflemen, clerks, accountants, cooks, repairers, and more. In addition, two projects are being implemented in collaboration with Victory Drones and Drone Force to train and deploy UAV operators in the Defenсe Forces.

“This initiative of the Ministry of Defence is aimed at enabling people to understand what vacancies are available and what path they need to take to join the military service for a specific position in a specific military unit. Our task is to help people make decisions and use their skills and civilian experience to defend their homeland,” said Oleksii Bezhevets, recruitment officer for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The inauguration of the recruitment center in the municipality was also welcomed by the acting mayor of Chernihiv, Oleksandr Lomako.

“This is the first recruitment center in Chernihiv. If the need arises, we will be able to open another center of this kind. This is a good example of local authorities cooperating with the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Military Command,” Lomako said.

During the inauguration ceremony, the press officer of the 1st Independent Tank Brigade "Siveria", Dina Wong, explained how the recruitment process works for her military unit and thanked for cooperating.

“We are very grateful to the Ministry of Defence for the implementation of the recruitment center initiative in Chernihiv. We thank you and look forward to the professionalism of the specialists who will be working here,” said Dina Wong.

Currently, recruitment centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operate in 15 regions of Ukraine. Visit the official website for the up-to-date information: https://recruiting.mod.gov.ua/index.html
