New dental care standards and technologies are being adopted in the Armed Forces
The quality and availability of dental care for service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be enhanced. The Ministry of Defence and the 'Dental Front' NGO have signed a memorandum of cooperation, aiming to jointly introduce new standards and technologies in this area.
The document specifies that X-ray examinations of the maxillofacial area for military personnel will be organized within the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For this purpose, the Armed Forces will equip the units with modern equipment, including X-ray devices.
“The Ministry of Defence is committed to the comprehensive enhancement of medical care for our service members. This agreement aims to leverage public sector resources to ensure greater accessibility and improved quality of dental care,” said Nikita Nikitenko, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, after signing the memorandum.
According to the document, the regulations, procedures, and standards for providing dental care to military personnel will also be updated.
Additionally, there are plans to improve the identification of fallen service members, including through an expert comparison of their dental status during life and postmortem.
