Negotiations between Oleksandr Balanutsa and Kusti Salm, the Permanent Secretary of the Estonian MoD: working in Capability Coalitions, joining NATO, bilateral cooperation

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksandr Balanutsa videoconferenced with Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Estonia Kusti Salm.

Mr. Balanutsa thanked Mr. Salm for his role and involvement in providing assistance to Ukraine. He further pointed out Estonia's support level, as the country's involvement went beyond what was initially outlined for the year.

The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine briefed about the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Kusti Salm reaffirmed Estonia's unwavering commitment to backing Ukraine in its fight against russia's large-scale armed aggression.

The parties discussed strengthening the work within the Ramstein format in support of the Defence Forces of Ukraine. The Deputy Minister thanked his Estonian counterpart for his effective and committed work in Capability Coalitions, particularly the IT coalition, and for advocating other Ukrainian initiatives.

The discussions also covered the outcomes of the NATO meeting held in Washington, DC. Oleksandr Balanutsa stressed the significance of the prompt invitation for Ukraine to join NATO, highlighting its importance for both Ukraine's security and regional security.
