Mykhailo Fedorov: Ministry of Defence advancing comprehensive mobilization reform
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues to digitize mobilization processes and is developing systemic solutions for comprehensive reform. This was announced by Ukraine's Minister of Defence, Mykhailo Fedorov.
One of the key steps was automating the extension of mobilization deferments through the Reserve+ app. Currently, 90% of deferments are extended automatically.
Previously, the deferment extension process could take weeks and required repeated document submissions and in-person visits to enlistment offices.
The system now automatically verifies the required data via state registries and makes decisions without human involvement. Users are notified of the decision through the Reserve+ app.
According to Mykhailo Fedorov, digitization is part of broader changes in the mobilization system.
“We are advancing comprehensive mobilization reform. We will propose a systemic solution to address issues that have accumulated over the years while preserving the country’s defense capability,” the Minister of Defence concluded.
