Multi-format assistance and military support for Ukraine: Sergiy Boyev met with the Ambassador of Ireland

A meeting was held in Kyiv between First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev and Jonathan Conlon, Ambassador of Ireland to Ukraine. The parties discussed prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the aim of providing assistance to Ukraine in countering russian aggression.

Sergiy Boyev expressed his appreciation to the people and Government of Ireland for their consistent position in support of Ukraine and for the assistance already provided.

The Ambassador of Ireland informed the Ukrainian side about the recent decision by the Irish Government to allocate €100 million in non-lethal military aid to Ukraine. 

He also elaborated on the mechanisms through which cooperation in this area is already being implemented or will be established with other European countries in support of the Ukrainian defence industry.

The First Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine emphasized the critical military needs for Ukraine’s defence and protection.

He also expressed his gratitude to Jonathan Conlon for Ireland’s participation and role in the Demining Capability Coalition and the IT Coalition, whose work is of vital importance to Ukraine.
