More weapons for Ukraine: UkrOboronProm increased production by 1.5 times in 2025

In 2025, enterprises of the ‘Ukrainian Defence Industry’ joint-stock company (UkrOboronProm) increased weapons and military equipment production by 1.5 times year-on-year, from UAH 122 billion in 2024 to over UAH 180 billion.

This dynamic growth was driven by the expansion of production capacity and increased workload at enterprises, with the number of state contracts rising by more than 50% over the previous year.

“This is Ukraine’s response to the challenges of modern warfare and clear evidence that our weapons are becoming the foundation of national security,” said Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

Veterans played a particularly important role in achieving these results. At UkrOboronProm, workforce development and the social integration of defenders are ongoing, with the number of veterans joining the company and its Group enterprises increasing by 37% in 2025. Currently, more than 1,000 veterans are employed within the structure of the joint-stock company.

UkrOboronProm has also stepped up cooperation with educational institutions to train new personnel.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine continues its efforts to strengthen and develop Ukraine’s defense industry as the state's technological backbone and guarantor of national security.
