MoD supports the training of specialists under a new quality assurance programme for the defense industry
The National Technical University “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (KPI) has completed the first stage of specialist training under a new key programme on state quality assurance for defense industry enterprises.
The training programme was implemented under a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the National Technical University “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. During November–December of this year, participants completed the course ‘Standardization and Quality Management Systems in the Defense Industry’.
Delivered in close coordination with the Ministry of Defence, the training involved representatives of more than 50 strategically important defense industry enterprises in Ukraine. Upon successfully passing the final examinations, the first 80 participants received course certificates.
The training equipped defense industry representatives with the competencies to establish and maintain quality management systems at their enterprises in line with NATO AQAP series standards.
They will also be capable of ensuring enterprise operations in the context of mutual quality assurance in cooperation with partner nations.
The launch of the new programme marks a significant stage in the development of a national quality assurance system for defense-related goods, works, and services, as well as its harmonization with the relevant systems of NATO and EU member states.
