MoD’s DOT announces first-ever procurement of demi-season boots and camouflage suits

The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the procurement agency of The Ministry of Defence, is launching a new round of procurement for clothing and gear items. Alongside the standard nomenclature, this procurement round includes, for the first time, items such as panama hats, berets, demi-season boots, camouflage suits, and other gear and clothing elements.

“For the first time, the military has officially ordered headgear—such as panama hats and berets—as well as camouflage suits. Currently, potential suppliers are undergoing the process of obtaining compliance certificates for their products in line with applicable technical specifications,” said Mykyta Chichkan, Director of the DOT Gear and Clothing Programme.

Some procurement procedures have already been launched, while others will be announced soon. All tender announcements are published on the Prozorro e-platform.

Procurement has already been announced for ten types of military berets. In the near future, tenders are expected to be announced for panama hats, two types of camouflage suits, and one type each of shirts, demi-season boots, and summer trousers.

The procurements are based on official requests from the Logistics Forces Command and aim to supply various military branches and components, taking into account their functional roles, service conditions, and specifics of combat use. This approach ensures that clothing and gear supplies are optimally adapted to the specific needs of individual units.

The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the Ministry of Defence’s procurement agency, invites manufacturers to participate in procurement procedures, submit their proposals, and become part of the system that provides the Armed Forces of Ukraine with high-quality clothing and gear.
