MoD launched the Training and Testing Complex for testing modern demining technologies

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine initiated and carried out the establishment of the newly opened Ukrainian Training and Testing Complex (UTTC), dedicated to advancing technologies in mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety.
On its first day of operation, the training ground showcased products from domestic enterprises, as well as exhibits from research institutions and techno-industrial clusters.
The Training and Testing Complex features tracks and obstacle routes for both light and heavy mechanized mine clearance systems, as well as testing sites for unmanned aerial and ground robotic systems, metal detectors, specialized demining equipment, civil protection structures, and environmental monitoring devices.
The Complex will function as a hub for accumulating expertise in mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety, supporting scientific research and industrial capabilities dedicated to developing, testing, and deploying advanced innovative projects.
The Complex’s inauguration brought together demining experts from the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, central and local executive authorities, partner countries, business representatives, international organizations, and mine action operators.
“This Complex serves as a unique venue for practical implementation, interagency and international collaboration, and testing of domestic and foreign equipment in mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety,” said Colonel Ruslan Berehulia, Head of the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.
