MoD expands training and certification opportunities for operators of ground robotic systems
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has expanded the mandate of UAV pilot training schools, allowing them to train and certify operators of ground robotic systems. The certification of training instructors has been entrusted to self-regulatory organizations.
Pursuant to an order of Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal, self-regulatory organizations have been granted the authority to design training, retraining, and qualification-enhancement programs for operators and instructors of ground robotic systems.
This training will be available to both service members and civilians.
The new measure will enable rapid adaptation of training programs for operators and instructors in line with technological changes and the introduction of new ground robotic systems.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will oversee the quality of training, and the Ministry of Defence will ensure that all training programs meet the standards of the Defence Forces.
