MoD beta tests Reserve+ deferral application service for parents of children with disabilities
The Reserve+ mobile application will soon introduce a new feature: online submission of mobilization deferment requests for parents of children with disabilities, regardless of the child’s age.
To participate in the testing and be among the first to obtain this new type of online deferment, please complete the form at the link.
Eligibility:
- Parents of a child with a disability under 18 years of age;
- Parents of an adult child with a disability.
As a reminder, the online application for deferment operates as follows: submission of a request in Reserve+ → verification of deferment grounds via the appropriate state registries → upon confirmation, the deferment is issued and recorded in the electronic military document.
The entire process is fully automated, usually takes only a few hours, and does not require collecting certificates, visiting enlistment offices, or lengthy case review procedures.
Currently, the following categories are eligible to obtain a deferment through Reserve+:
- Individuals with disabilities;
- Students and postgraduates;
- Parents of three or more children born to the same marriage;
- Families of service members with a child;
- Spouses of individuals with disabilities;
- Individuals deemed temporarily unfit for service;
- Employees of higher and vocational education institutions.
