MoD and Bureau of International Certification agree to cooperate in the field of quality assurance
The Main Directorate of State Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Bureau of International Certification have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing the national system for certification and quality assurance of defense products.
The initiative is focused on ensuring the harmonization of the national quality assurance system with the corresponding systems of NATO and EU member states.
As a result, international quality assurance standards – including the NATO Allied Quality Assurance Publications (AQAP) series – will be implemented. This will streamline the processes of quality assessment and certification of defense goods, works, and services, ensuring their compliance with NATO requirements.
The key areas of cooperation are as follows:
- integration of international certification approaches to improve the national certification system;
- collaborative development of methodological guidelines and regulatory documents;
- carrying out joint training programs for quality assurance professionals;
- exchange of experience in auditing, conformity assessment, and quality assurance.
The dedicated department of the Main Directorate of State Quality Assurance, responsible for professional development and assessment, has begun implementing joint initiatives to enhance the professional competence of quality assurance specialists.
