Ministry of Defence will designate critical defense enterprises
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has assumed responsibility for designating critical defense industry enterprises and arranging the reservation of their employees following the disestablishment of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
The relevant resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The criteria for designating defense industry enterprises as critical remain unchanged.
The status of critical defense industry enterprises conferred by the Ministry of Strategic Industries shall remain valid for one year from the date of its issuance, subject to the ongoing performance of the relevant contracts.
Other defense industry enterprises may now apply to the Ministry of Defence to obtain the status of a critical defense enterprise via e-mail: [email protected]
Enterprises and institutions officially recognized as critical and engaged in government contracts to support the Security and Defence Forces will be able to reserve 100% of their employees liable for military service and obtain preferential loans at 5% for the development and expansion of production.
This will enable enterprises and organizations, even under the most challenging wartime conditions, to maintain uninterrupted operations, retain innovative teams, and carry out tasks for the Defence Forces and the state.
“Safeguarding the workforce of defense industry enterprises is a matter of national security. Many key production facilities continue to operate under extremely difficult conditions to ensure that the army receives modern weapons and equipment on time. We are enhancing the conditions to ensure their continuous operations,” stressed Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Anna Gvozdiar.
