Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and RTX discuss accelerating Patriot missile deliveries

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the U.S. company RTX discussed accelerating deliveries of missiles for Patriot systems and advancing deeper industrial cooperation to reinforce Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
These issues were raised during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Sergiy Boyev and a delegation of the U.S. defense-industrial company RTX, led by Jennifer Pushner, Executive Director of Raytheon in Ukraine.
The parties reviewed strategic areas of cooperation to strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s skies and to build domestic technical capabilities to support advanced weapons systems.
Sergiy Boyev emphasized the critical importance of air defense systems for protecting Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure amid the aggressor’s recent massive aerial attacks.

“You can clearly see how vital and critical air defense capabilities are, as well as the pace at which we must act in this area. Overnight, during one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine involving a record number of ballistic missiles, energy infrastructure sustained further damage,” Sergiy Boyev said.
In turn, Raytheon representatives confirmed their readiness to accelerate missile deliveries for Patriot systems through direct contracts and international support mechanisms.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the current status and plans for maintaining and sustaining air and missile defense systems in service with the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to exploring opportunities to shift from delivering ready-made systems to deeper industrial cooperation. The Ministry of Defence is seeking to establish domestic maintenance and repair capabilities for Western equipment in Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev expressed gratitude for the partners’ support and emphasized that expanding cooperation with leading defense companies is one of Ukraine’s strategic priorities.
