Ministry of Defence approves course for involving and retaining human capital in Defence Forces
For the first time in Ukraine, a strategic document at the ministerial level has been introduced that will radically change the state’s approach to human resources in the Defence Forces and is aimed at fulfilling NATA interoperability requirements in this area.
The new policy will lay the foundations for the human-centred personnel management system and the development of a management culture in the Defence Forces.
“Work on policy started last autumn. We used the best practices of our Western partners, adapting them to Ukrainian realities. Experts from the human resources management committee of the MOD, NATO strategic advisers and representatives of public sector worked on the policy. I am very grateful to all involved in this important work. The implementation of this policy will change the Ukrainian army, making it more efficient and modern,” said Nataliia Kalmykova, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
