Military Training Department at the Professional College of Maritime Transport at the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” invites applicants to enroll
The Military Training Department of the Professional College of Maritime Transport at the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” trains specialists for surface vessels and coastal units of the Ukrainian Navy and welcomes applications from both men and women.
Graduates of the institution serve in NCO positions within the Ukrainian Navy and other military formations.
Training is conducted in the specialty “Weapons and Military Equipment” with the following specializations:
- Ship navigation;
- Maintenance of equipment for maritime search and rescue operations and emergency diving missions;
- Operation of maritime unmanned systems;
- Organization of operation, storage, and maintenance of maritime unmanned systems;
- Operation of shipboard radio-electronic and communication systems;
- Operation of shipboard missile and artillery systems;
- Operation of anti-submarine and mine-torpedo weapon systems;
- Operation of shipboard propulsion and power systems.
The Military Training Department at the Professional College of the Maritime Transport at the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” is the only educational institution in Ukraine that trains specialists in maritime unmanned systems.
Women have equal access to all naval specialties through the standard admission process.
During their studies, cadets undergo leadership courses, as well as practical training and internships on surface ships, boats, and vessels of the Ukrainian Navy and at the facilities of the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy.”
A mandatory international internship is part of the final-year curriculum. Upon completing the training and educational program, graduates are guaranteed employment.
Throughout their studies, cadets are provided with:
- accommodation;
- meals;
- uniforms;
- A monthly allowance of at least UAH 8,000, with an additional payment of UAH 2,350 per month during martial law.
Education is delivered at the level of Professional Junior Bachelor over a two-year full-time program, following the “cadet” scheme with military personnel status.
Graduates are awarded a diploma of state standard by the National University “Odesa Maritime Academy.”
Applications are accepted from Ukrainian citizens—including civilians, active-duty service members, reservists, and individuals liable for military service—who meet the military service requirements and have successfully passed the entrance examinations.
Requirements for admission:
- Completed general secondary, vocational, professional-technical, professional pre-higher, or higher education;
- Individuals aged 17 to 30, including those who turn 17 in the year they begin military service (or training);
- No prior officer rank held.
Admission to the Military Training Department is conducted without requiring National Multi-Subject Test (NMST) results and is based on entrance exams, medical examination, psychological evaluation, and physical fitness test.
Applications are accepted until July 18, 2025, inclusive.
