Military leadership and manufacturers discussed the development of autonomous solutions to counter enemy drones

Deputy Minister of Defence Valerii Churkin held a working meeting with representatives from the defense industry, including developers of drones, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and radar technologies. The discussion also included participants from the General Staff and relevant scientific institutions.
The primary goal of the meeting was to coordinate joint actions for developing a technologically integrated system utilizing new drone-based solutions. Participants discussed approaches to designing an effective architecture for the system, potential technical requirements for its components, and mechanisms for interaction among its elements.
“Coordination between developers, scientists, and the Defence Forces significantly accelerates the path from concept to practical solution. In the context of highly dynamic combat operations, this is of critical importance,” noted Valerii Churkin.
According to him, the effective deployment of drones within the Defence Forces has already demonstrated tangible results, with the next phase focusing on developing scalable solutions that operate with minimal reliance on human resources.
Brigadier General Andrii Lebedenko, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasized that adapting to new challenges requires leveraging a broader spectrum of technologies and partnerships.
“We recognize the potential of new platforms as an effective component of a modern defense system.” They are capable of delivering an effective response with optimal resource utilization,” said General Lebedenko.
These meetings represent an integral component of the Ministry of Defence’s strategic efforts to establish partnerships between the state, the scientific community, and private technology developers.
