Meeting at the Ministry of Defence: Norwegian defence company opens branch in Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Valerii Churkin held talks on developing cooperation with the Norwegian defence company Radionor Communications. The Norwegian delegation was led by Raymond Søderholm, CEO of Radionor Communications.
Valerii Churkin expressed gratitude to the people and leadership of Norway, as well as the Norwegian company, for their support in the fight against russian aggression.
Radionor has long been a supplier of communications technologies resilient to electronic warfare for Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
During the meeting, the parties discussed new challenges in the use of unmanned systems on the frontline and ways to address them.
They also explored the prospects of establishing a Radionor service centre in Ukraine.
“There is a pressing need for communications technologies resilient to electronic warfare, especially for UAV operations in Ukraine. Together with our Ukrainian partners and with support from the Norwegian government, we expect to deliver more systems. Our goal is to improve UAV capabilities and support the Ukrainian army in mastering their use,” said Raymond Søderholm.
“Having a company’s representative office in Ukraine will simplify the maintenance of its products, enable professional training for Ukrainian personnel, and ultimately ensure these systems are used as effectively as possible,” stated Valerii Churkin.
