Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, upon the recommendation of Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov, has appointed Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk as Deputy Minister of Defence.
“Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk is one of the most experienced officers in our army and an experienced combat commander. His responsibilities include developing and building the Defence Forces, military education, mobilization processes, and personnel training,” Rustem Umerov said.
Yevhen Moisiuk was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, on October 7, 1979. In 2000, he graduated from the Odesa Ground Forces Institute. Later, he obtained education for officers at the operational-strategic and operational-tactical levels at the National Defence University of Ukraine.
From 2000 onward, Yevhen Moisiuk served in the Air Assault Forces. He held various positions within the Ukrainian peacekeeping missions in Iraq and Kosovo.
From 2018 to 2019, he was the First Deputy Commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From 2019 to 2021, Yevhen Moisiuk served as the Commander of the Air Assault Forces.
In 2021, he was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In February 2024, Yevhen Moisiuk was appointed Special Representative of the President of Ukraine for Implementing International Security Guarantees and Developing the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
