Kateryna Chernohorenko: Reserve+ launches an online feature for deferment from mobilization for parents with many children

Starting today, Reserve+ has introduced the option to apply for deferment from mobilization for parents with many children, specifically families with three or more minor children in a joint marriage. The updated version of the app is now available on the App Store and Play Store.

“Through Reserve+, 150,000 deferments have already been processed or renewed. Deferments are now also available for parents with many children, specifically those with three children under 18 in a joint marriage. We continue to collaborate with the Unified Register of Debtors to ensure that deferments are available for parents with many children,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

In addition to parents with many children, the online deferment service is available to:

People with disabilities who hold a valid disability pension certificate;

Students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates enrolled in continuous educational programs. For instance, those who completed a bachelor's degree and pursue a master's degree, or those who finished a master's degree and continue their studies in a doctoral program.

The online deferment process is straightforward. You need to log into Reserve+ and submit a request. The system will check whether you qualify for deferment. If eligible, the status will be reflected in your electronic military document.

People with disabilities will receive a deferment for one year or until the expiration of their disability pension certificate. Students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates will receive a deferment until martial law and mobilization ends.

The Ministry of Defence is taking steps to ensure that online deferments are made available to additional categories of citizens.

The Ministry of Defence has implemented the service in collaboration with several key government agencies. These include the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Justice, and the Pension Fund. The initiative is also supported by the European Union under the DT4UA project, executed by the Estonian e-Governance Academy. Additionally, the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) is actively involved in the implementation process.
