JATEC Commander presented NATO-Ukraine Joint Center at OFDeF

The command and personnel of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC) participated in the Operational Forces Development Framework (OFDeF) Conference.
Throughout the week, JATEC representatives worked in groups on training, air defense, logistics, sustainment, and other domains, focusing on synchronizing joint efforts and planning within the Capability Coalitions.
At the wrap-up briefing for more than 70 generals and senior officers, Brigadier General Wojciech Ozga, JATEC Commander, emphasized the key role of training based on lessons learned directly from the battlefield.
“All the experience shared with us by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is gained at a very high cost. Our duty at JATEC is to capture these lessons and incorporate them into NATO doctrine. OFDeF offers a powerful channel for integrating these battlefield lessons into multinational planning, complementing our broader mission of transforming combat experience into a strategic advantage throughout the Alliance,” Brigadier General Wojciech Ozga stressed.
Colonel Valerii Vyshnivskyi, Ukraine’s Senior National Representative to JATEC and Director for Program Implementation at the NATO-Ukraine Joint Center, also attended the conference. He noted that JATEC and the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) are developing close cooperation, within which each organization has taken on its own unique role. In particular, NSATU addresses urgent battlefield needs and challenges, while JATEC focuses on capability development and achieving strategic advantage in innovation, education, and analysis.
Overall, OFDeF brought together representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U), NSATU, the European Union Military Assistance Mission (EUMAM), NATO agencies, and partner countries.
Since the first OFDeF conference a year ago, the initiative has become a key platform for coordinating international training, equipping, and sustainment planning to help Ukraine continue fighting, negotiate from a position of strength, and lay the foundation for sustainable peace in the future.
The fourth OFDeF conference in Poland demonstrated the commitment of Alliance members and partner nations to the defense of Ukraine.
