In February, the russian army lost over 78 artillery divisions and the highest number of vehicles since the onset of the large-scale invasion

In February, the count of combat encounters was slightly lower than in January: 3,274 vs. 5,087. Instead, there has been an increase in enemy airstrikes targeting the positions of our forces and frontline settlements. In February, russian tactical aviation released over 3,522 guided aerial bombs (GABs). In January, a total of approximately 2,400 GABs were released.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian army suffered significant irrecoverable and sanitary casualties in February, totaling 36,570 persons. This is equivalent to the strength of three motorized rifle divisions. To reiterate, the russian army endured its heaviest personnel losses in December 2024, with 48,670 killed and wounded.

Moreover, in February, our defenders destroyed and incapacitated 1,415 enemy artillery systems. This quantity would be sufficient to equip over 78 artillery divisions (a russian army artillery division consists of 18 guns).

In addition, 331 enemy tanks were destroyed, damaged, or rendered inoperable over the past month. This is equivalent to 10 enemy tank battalions (a russian army tank battalion consists of 31 tanks). Over the past seven months, this marks the highest recorded enemy losses in this category of weapons and military equipment. Notably, the most effective month against enemy tanks was October 2023, when 521 enemy tanks were destroyed within a month.

The Defence Forces also destroyed or incapacitated 596 enemy armored fighting vehicles. This roughly equals the number of armored fighting vehicles in nearly three russian army motorized rifle divisions.

In the shortest month of the year, our defenders struck the highest number of enemy logistical and transport vehicles since the onset of the large-scale russian invasion—3,472 vehicles and tanker trucks.
