More than 17 tons of substandard fuel and lubricants that were supplied to the Armed Forces were uncovered by the Ministry of Defence in August.

The total cost of low-quality oil products amounted to UAH 1.6 million.

Specialists of the dedicated entity of the Ministry of Defence’s Main Department of Quality Control have analyzed over 400 samples of fuels and lubricants, such as petrol, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, as well as lubricants and special liquids, through laboratory testing.

“We are accountable to taxpayers for ensuring that resources for the military are supplied uninterruptedly and meet the highest standards. This is crucial for the combat missions,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defence Yuriy Dzhygyr.

He stated that such cases of supplying low-quality oil products are absolutely unacceptable. Situations of this nature will be immediately addressed, and the monitoring will be reinforced.
