“Impulse” system expands capabilities for military units in personnel management and supply
The “Impulse” digital personnel record-keeping system has been updated. The new version expands military units’ capabilities in daily personnel management and food supply, enables faster data processing, reduces paperwork, and improves decision-making accuracy. Currently, over 200 military units are already operating within the “Impulse” system on a daily basis.
Signatory management
A signatory register has been launched in the “Impulse” system, enabling centralized management of authorized signatories for orders, certificates, and other documents.
Users can quickly assign or change signatories for different document types, with the system automatically filling in position titles. This allows for flexible signatory configuration and reduces the need to edit generated document drafts manually.
Current personnel events within the unit
Event handling has been updated for leave, temporary secondment, temporary unavailability, medical absences, and other statuses. New document types have also been added.
The system now supports recording changes in temporary absence status. For example, medical treatment can be initiated if a service member becomes ill while on leave, without requiring a formal return to the unit. These changes make record-keeping more reflective of real service circumstances.
Food supply management
The “Impulse” system now features a food supply register. It automatically tracks service members being added to or removed from meal provision during transfers, leave, temporary secondment, or other temporary absences.
The system prevents inadvertent duplicate records, supports bulk operations, and enables rapid visibility of all supply-related changes within a single environment. This reduces errors and streamlines the work of services responsible for food provision.
About the system
“Impulse” is an official personnel record-keeping system that continues to evolve as a technological foundation for modern, systematic personnel record-keeping and data management in the military. The system is being developed and deployed by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where service members with many years of civilian experience in IT product development now serve. Deployment is being ensured by units of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
