Implementation of NATO integrity standards: Sergiy Boyev met with the delegation from the Norwegian Ministry of Defence
A Ukrainian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Defence Sergiy Boyev, met with representatives from the Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector (CIDS) of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
The consultative talks also involved representatives from the Ukrainian side, including those from the Defence Procurement Agency, the Ministry of Defence’s Procurement Policy Department, and the Ministry of Defence’s Department for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption. The Norwegian delegation was led by Linda Lillestøl, Program Director for Ukraine.
“First of all, I am grateful to Norway not only for its financial and military assistance but also for its support in implementing NATO standards. “We continue our progress towards the Alliance, with specific priorities for 2025, and your advice can help save us time and effort,” said Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration.
Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation elaborated on challenges and priorities related to improving governance in anti-corruption activities.
The Ukrainian side also briefed the Norwegian delegation on the progress of the digitalization of procurement management and oversight through the SAP system, which requires personnel training.
“Our team is ready to assist for as long as necessary. Our efforts are focused on building strong institutions and transparent procurement processes that will help align Ukrainian agencies with those of the EU and NATO,” said Linda Lillestøl, Program Director in Ukraine.
