Government enables faster fortification construction by removing restrictions for the State Special Transport Service

The State Special Transport Service has been granted the right to construct and restore critically important defense infrastructure facilities without additional permitting procedures. This measure is expected to speed up the construction of fortifications.

The decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting and involved changes to the list of construction works that do not require permits or commissioning after completion.

The decision aims to ensure the continuous and efficient execution of construction works by the State Special Transport Service during martial law. This applies to general-purpose and special-purpose facilities, including military engineering and fortification structures.

The State Special Transport Service carries out tasks related to capital construction and the reconstruction of defense facilities; however, it was not previously explicitly included on the relevant list of entities authorized to perform such activities. The Government’s decision eliminates this gap and aligns the regulatory framework with the State Special Transport Service’s actual authorities.
