Government approves monthly financial benefit for service members awarded the Cross of Combat Merit

The Cabinet of Ministers has regulated the procedure for granting a monthly financial benefit to active-duty service members and veterans who have been awarded the Cross of Combat Merit.

The decision was approved by Government Resolution No. 1568 dated 3 December 2025.

The monthly financial benefit for this category will amount to 1.5 times the minimum wage in effect as of 1 January of the respective year (currently UAH 12,000 per month).

The resolution sets out the procedure for granting and paying this benefit.

Established by Presidential Decree on 5 May 2022, the Cross of Combat Merit honors service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations for exceptional personal bravery, heroic actions in combat, or distinguished achievements in commanding troops (forces).

The Cross of Combat Merit is the highest of all Ukrainian military awards and decorations.
