For the first time the DPA of the MOD will purchase ammunition with the funds raised by UNITED24

The first contract for the procurement of ammunition has been signed by the DPA of the Ukrainian MoD, utilizing funds raised through the UNITED24 fundraising platform for the first time. UAH 47 million worth of supplies is covered by the contract.

“This marks a significant advancement in bolstering our Armed Forces' defense capabilities by acquiring new funding sources. Our efforts will persist in supplying our military with the necessary ammunition to ensure the effective fulfillment of combat operations,” said Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

To reiterate, in May 2024, the Government authorized the fund transfers to MoD's procurement agencies from a dedicated account to support the Armed Forces. This dedicated account was opened for receiving voluntary contributions through the UNITED24 platform.

With the MoD's approval, funds can be transferred to defense procurement agencies.

“Our compatriots and citizens of the democratic world have our heartfelt thanks for contributing to the UNITED24 fundraising platform. For our part, we can swiftly and effectively source ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Maryna Bezrukova, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.

The goal of the UNITED24 fundraising platform, initiated by the President of Ukraine, is to unify the international community's support for Ukraine's struggle for independence and sovereignty. The platform enables individuals globally to contribute towards supporting Ukraine and its Defence Forces.
