Ukraine and Denmark are strengthening cooperation in air defence and the development of the defence industry. This was discussed during a conversation between Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's Minister of Defence, and Troels Lund Poulsen, Denmark's Minister of Defence.

The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to Denmark for its consistent support and intense cooperation in the defence sector.

The effectiveness of the ‘Danish model’ for defence industry support was also highlighted. In 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine secured more than $2 billion for Ukrainian manufacturing through the ‘Danish model’.

Mykhailo Fedorov noted that, thanks to Denmark’s efforts, F-16 fighter aircraft are already protecting Ukraine’s skies. The Defence Ministers of both countries discussed prospects for supplying Ukraine with weapons for these aircraft and the continued development of support capabilities for the F-16 fleet.

The talks also focused on cooperation with defence companies. Denmark plans to build its domestic defence industry ecosystem, while Ukraine stands ready to share its technological expertise.

Mykhailo Fedorov also proposed considering Denmark’s involvement in several priority projects, including providing baseline drone support to Ukrainian brigades and transforming the service member training system.
